12-Week Reintegration Programme – “Rebound”

At Cobras AP, our Rebound Programme is a 12-week, structured reintegration pathway designed to help pupils successfully return to education after a period of disengagement, exclusion, or time out of school.

This programme provides a safe, supportive and motivating environment where pupils can rebuild confidence, re-establish learning routines, and develop the personal and social skills needed to thrive back in mainstream or specialist settings.

What the Programme Includes

Over 12 weeks, pupils follow a personalised timetable focused on:

  • Core Learning: English, Maths and Functional Skills tuition (both online via TUTE and face-to-face).
  • Vocational and Life Skills: ASDAN-accredited courses that build independence, teamwork and self-esteem.
  • PSHE and Personal Development: Sessions supporting emotional regulation, resilience and healthy decision-making.
  • Physical Activity: Daily sessions through our partnership with Cobras Basketball Club, encouraging teamwork, discipline and wellbeing.
  • 1:1 Mentoring and Reflection: Helping pupils understand their triggers, set achievable goals, and prepare for long-term success.

Our Approach

The programme is underpinned by Therapeutic Thinking and trauma-informed practice — understanding behaviour as communication and supporting emotional growth alongside academic progress.
Our team works closely with families, schools and local authorities to ensure that every transition is positive, sustainable and tailored to each pupil’s needs.

Outcomes

By the end of the 12 weeks, pupils will have:

  • Improved attendance, engagement and confidence in learning
  • Stronger emotional regulation and coping strategies
  • Recognised qualifications and achievements through ASDAN and Functional Skills
  • A clear reintegration or post-16 pathway plan
